Buying guide

Home Energy Storage Systems

Start with your daily kWh. It is printed on your utility bill. Shifting an evening peak off the grid usually takes 5–10kWh. Carrying a household through an overnight outage — fridge, lights, router, a few outlets — lands closer to 15–20kWh. Running the whole house for a full day points to 20kWh and above.

Then pick the form factor. Stackable modules start at 5.12kWh and grow by adding packs, so you can begin small and expand as solar or consumption increases. Wall-mounted units hang flat against a garage or utility room wall and free up floor space. Wheeled packs roll to wherever they are needed. All-in-One cabinets have the inverter built in — one box, no separate inverter to source, size or wire.

All of it is 51.2V LiFePO4, the standard voltage for residential storage, so it pairs directly with the hybrid inverters used in home solar. Bluetooth and WiFi models report pack status to your phone.
