Warranty Policy

At GLCE ENERGY, every LiFePO4 product is built for a long, dependable service life, and we stand firmly behind it. The terms below set out the complete and exclusive warranty we provide to the original purchaser. They don't affect any rights you may have under the consumer-protection laws of your country (see Your Statutory Rights below) — they sit alongside them.

Who and What Is Covered

This warranty is extended to the original purchaser who bought the product directly from GLCE ENERGY or an authorized GLCE ENERGY store, and is non-transferable. Your order number is your proof of purchase and is needed for any claim, so please keep it handy.

We cover defects in materials, workmanship, and performance under normal use and service conditions, for the period shown in the table below. Coverage begins on the date your order is delivered.

Warranty Period

Product Category Examples Warranty Period Full-Coverage Window After the Full-Coverage Window
Standard LiFePO4 Batteries (12V / 24V / 36V / 48V, ≥ 50Ah) 12V 100Ah, 24V 100Ah, 36V 100Ah, 48V 100Ah, etc. 5 years First 12 months Years 2–5: prorated remedy with depreciation; buyer covers return shipping
Compact / Entry Batteries (< 50Ah or under US $100 / equivalent) 12V 20Ah, etc. 2 years First 3 months Months 4–24: prorated remedy with depreciation; buyer covers return shipping
Home Energy Storage (51.2V wall-mounted, stacked, and all-in-one units) 51.2V 100Ah/200Ah/300Ah, All-in-One 5.12–20.48kWh, wall-mounted units 5 years First 12 months Years 2–5: prorated remedy with depreciation; large units serviced via local warehouse
Chargers, Inverters & Accessories All-in-One Battery Inverter, cables, chargers 2 years (full coverage) Full 24 months
Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Energy Storage Cabinet / containerized systems, 30kW+ Covered under a tailored project warranty Terms are matched to your system and agreed in writing in the project sales contract

C&I systems: Because commercial and industrial energy-storage systems vary so much in scale, installation, and commissioning, their warranty is set individually in each project's B2B sales agreement rather than under this retail policy — so your coverage fits your actual system. Please Contact Us before purchase for project-specific terms.

How We Make It Right

If a covered product is found to be defective during its warranty period — confirmed by our technical team after assessment — we will, at our discretion, do one of the following:

  1. Replace the product (or the defective component / part) with a new or functionally equivalent unit of equal or greater rated capacity, or
  2. Ship replacement parts, with guidance to fit them, or
  3. Issue a refund, calculated as described below.

Replacements may be new or refurbished, and will always be functionally equivalent to the original. A replacement is covered for the remainder of the original warranty period, or 90 days, whichever is longer (it doesn't restart the clock).

Because we resolve claims by replacement, parts, or refund rather than send-in repair, you get a working unit quickly instead of waiting on a repair queue.

Your First Year Is Fully Covered

During the Full-Coverage Window shown in the table, an approved claim is handled at no cost to you.

After the Full-Coverage Window, and through the end of the warranty period, your product is still supported — on a fair, prorated basis:

  • Return shipping (where a return is needed) is arranged by the buyer, and
  • The refund or replacement value is adjusted for the time already used, calculated simply as:

Monthly depreciation = Original purchase price ÷ Total warranty months
(e.g., a 5-year warranty = 60 months)

Prorated value = Original purchase price − (Monthly depreciation × number of full months since delivery)

This is the standard approach across the lithium-battery industry, and it's what lets us keep our prices competitive while supporting the product for its full term.

We won't ask you to ship a heavy battery back

For Home Energy Storage units and any item over 25 kg, please don't crate it up and ship it — we handle these through our local warehouses in Chino, CA (USA) and Neuss, Germany (EU) via part replacement or local exchange. For smaller items, we may simply approve a replacement shipment without requiring the defective unit to be returned. No long international return trips.

Keeping Your Warranty Valid

LiFePO4 batteries are tough, and most real defects are covered. To keep your warranty in force, please install and operate your product as described in its manual. The warranty does not cover damage, failure, or loss of performance resulting from:

  • Improper installation, wiring, or operation contrary to the product manual;
  • Loose, corroded, or reverse-polarity terminal connections, or undersized cabling;
  • Over-charging, under-charging, or use outside the rated charge/discharge specifications;
  • Connecting more battery units in series/parallel than the product specification allows;
  • Physical damage from impact, accident, drop, crushing, fire, or water submersion;
  • Storage or operation outside the temperature range stated in the manual, or storing the battery fully discharged or uncharged for extended periods (batteries need an occasional recharge to keep their cells healthy);
  • Use in an application the product was not designed for, or repeated discharge beyond rated limits;
  • A battery that has been opened, modified, disassembled, or tampered with;
  • Normal capacity fade and wear consistent with the product's rated cycle life;
  • Force majeure events, vandalism, theft, or loss in transit after delivery;
  • Use as a power source for life-support or medical equipment, or any application where failure could cause personal injury or catastrophic property damage, without GLCE ENERGY's prior written authorization. Such use is at the purchaser's sole risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GLCE ENERGY is not liable for any incidental, indirect, or consequential damages arising from the use or failure of its products.

Making a Claim Is Easy

  1. Register Warranty to make any future claim faster.
  2. Email us at contact@glceenergy.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and supporting photos or video.
  3. Our technical team will assess the claim and advise the next step (replacement, parts, refund, or local-warehouse handling).
  4. Please hold off on returning anything until you've received confirmation and instructions from us.

You'll be dealing with people who know these products well — we read every message.

Returns vs. Warranty

This warranty applies to defective products. If you simply change your mind, that's covered separately by our Return Policy (14-day window from delivery, original packaging, unused). Warranty claims and returns are handled under their respective policies.

Your Statutory Rights

This Limited Warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country, and nothing here limits or excludes them. Customers in the European Union are entitled to a minimum two-year legal guarantee of conformity from the seller, and customers in France additionally benefit from the legal warranty against hidden defects (garantie des vices cachés). These statutory rights apply alongside this commercial warranty and are unaffected by it.

General

GLCE ENERGY reserves the right to update this Limited Warranty Policy at any time; the version in effect on the date of your purchase applies to your order. This warranty is the total and exclusive warranty obligation of GLCE ENERGY. No employee, dealer, or other party is authorized to assume any additional liability on our behalf.
