LiFePO4 Batteries for Trolling Motors and Marine Use

Match the voltage to the motor first. Trolling motors are built for 12V, 24V or 36V and the battery has to match — a 24V motor on a 12V pack simply will not deliver its rated thrust. Check the plate on the motor before anything else.

Then size the amp-hours to your day on the water. A rough rule: a trolling motor draws close to its maximum amp rating only at full throttle, and most anglers spend the day well below that. A 100Ah pack covers a typical half day; 200Ah and up covers a full day with the sounder and livewell running.

Why LiFePO4 for marine. Lead-acid loses capacity fast below 50% discharge and hates sitting partially charged between trips. LiFePO4 tolerates both, holds voltage steady as it drains — so thrust does not fade through the afternoon — and lasts thousands of cycles instead of hundreds.

Every pack has a built-in smart BMS with over-current, over-discharge and temperature protection.
